Small Business with a big CSR impact- Upcycle Lets transform
Upcycle Lets transform started as an initiative by two social entrepreneurs (women) to bring to the UAE market sustainable products with cause, promoting REUSE. Upcycle brings a huge passion and drive to have a better tomorrow for our kids.

The company offers a range of products related to packaging with a goal to replace single use plastic in our everyday lives. In the earlier blog posts, we shared some inspiration and use of their products, such as: Do fresh products stay fresh if kept in cotton bags instead of plastic bags?
Upcycle’s products are cost efficient, environmentally friendly and have a strong social cause.
“We are the cheapest suppliers of similar products in the market and also we provide a source of livelihood for people in the rural areas. We have kept the cost as low as we can to make it more affordable for everyone so that they think of making the shift. The products are resilient and qualitative. We keep the bags as simple as possible, no packaging no plastic at all.”

Upcycle Lets transform offers great solutions to local organic farms, retailers and consumers who are adopting a sustainable lifestyle.
The real value comes from their strong Corporate Social Responsibility approach. One of their key stakeholders are Women in rural India.
The cloth used for making our bags is Markin cloth also known as Manjarpath cloth. It is 100% unbleached Cotton Grey Cloth. This cloth is sourced from the biggest cotton hub in India, Jalgoan, Maharashtra. The produce bags you see are made by low income group women, who support their households with the wages they earn making the bags.
Two strong women, founders, are committing to their long-term ambitions:
- to provide employment opportunities to women in rural India by enabling them to take care of their families
- to encourage corporate clients who want to move towards sustainability by helping them understand how their actions have an impact on the environment
- To provide the organic farms and stores with good quality and low waste solutions, together creating a sustainable environment
- And for the Retail consumers who are making a shift towards a sustainable lifestyle we want to provide them with incentives and encourage them to make a shift by offering discounts and promotions whenever we can.
