INITIALLY, UNABLE TO BUY THE QUALITY OF COFFEE WE WERE USED TO LOCALLY, WE STARTED OFF AS BOOT LEGERS, BRINGING OUR BEANS BACK INTO DUBAI IN OUR SUITCASES FROM FAVOURITE ROASTERIES AROUND THE WORLD. WE LOVE COFFEE, AND WE WERE SERIOUSLY TIRED OF THE SAD OLD OFFERINGS AVAILABLE HERE ~ RAW WAS BORN, ESTABLISHED IN JULY 2007 TO FILL THE GAP IN THE MARKET FOR FRESHLY ROASTED SPECIALTY COFFEE.
Sourcing premium green beans from around the world, we have selected the niche market looking for quality. It’s really important to us that our beans are ethically sourced and the farmers and their families growing our coffee are treated fairly and can make a sustainable living. Our beans are all organically certified, roasted in small batches, and available to sample from our warehouse roastery either as single origins or blends.
After we started, we quickly realized coffee is not just about the beans and how much care we put into roasting them. It’s also about the support and training we can give to the baristas, and finding equipment manufacturers we want to align ourselves with.
Our definition of RAW is in its natural condition, fresh, powerful, impressive and perfect. RAW Coffee Company is a chemical reaction to the stale mundane. An antidote to normality, RAW Coffee Company, is not so much a company; it’s more of a quest.
